Play date

My little lady had a play date this morning with another gorgeous little lady. Or should I say two gorgeous ladies since her mom is also lovely and a good friend of mine. Due to her work we haven’t seen each other as much as I’d like recently, so I am very pleased that she is about to start her maternity leave. Bring on the play dates…

Of course I had my camera with me, just in case (to be honest, I was hoping my friend will let me snap some pics of her beautiful bump). And I’m so glad I did because the light was just perfect and so were the girls. Seriously, the photos of them reading on a sofa chair are just too much. Cuteness! They got into that pose all by themselves, I had nothing to do with it apart from snapping the photos. I don’t think I could pose them like this if I tried (not at this age, anyway)!

Girls really play so differently to boys, it’s a revelation having one of each at home, so I can observe both worlds and see what happens when they collide. πŸ™‚ I am yet to observe (let alone take a picture of) my son sitting on a sofa with a friend, reading…

  1. Kot najbolj luΕ‘kana reklama za Benetton πŸ™‚ Krasne fotke, Maja!

  2. I’ll have to make a picture of our two boys reading on the sofa then! Shouldn’t be too complicated as they do it every day! Noah is a bookworm, and it looks like Ilia is becoming one too πŸ˜‰

    • Sev, I have no doubt other kids do it, in fact, I know lots who do. Samuel has been getting into reading too and now actually asks during the day if I can read to him. But when on a play date (at our house or away) a book is the last thing he’ll think of… or anything that involves being still (unless it’s a snack). So that’s what I meant in my blog post – I was happy to see Lara happily reading with a friend because when Sami goes on a play date I’m trying to calm him down the entire time. πŸ™‚
