Hello May, hello bluebells.

May is one of my favourite months. Even when winter has been unbearably long, by May spring has taken over. We go to the same parks, yet it feels like a different world altogether. Every week different trees and flowers are blossoming, changing the overall look of the park. Apple and cherry tree blossoms and daffodils are now giving way to rhododendrons and bluebells. I don’t think I have ever see bluebells back in Slovenia, at least not in the numbers that you can find in gardens and woods here in England (and all over the UK). Here they can produce carpets of violet-blue flowers and it looks gorgeous. This year’s long winter has delayed their growth but now they can finally be seen in full bloom and we found a lovely patch in Bushy park today. 🙂

May for me also includes many happy dates – my birthday, my wedding anniversary and most recently, the start of my business. Yes, I have finally done it. After lots of encouragement, advice, questioning myself and praying, I have finally jumped into the deep end and registered my own business. On May 9th, 2013, Maja Tsolo Photography was born. 🙂 I am excited and a bit scared at the same time. This is now more than just going out to the park with my kids and shooting away, it involves finances, strategy, commitment. With time, I will slowly be changing a few things, turning my blog into a proper website, etc. So bear with me while this is happening. But I would like to thank each and every one of you who have been visiting my blog, possibly commenting on my photos and cheering me on. It wouldn’t have happened without your support.

For starters, I am changing the look of my blog. Do you like it? I do. And for a treat, here are some photos from our time in Bushy park today.
